In the Communism it was one of the largest department stores selling luxury Polish and foreign products. The Okrąglak in Poznań, originally built in 1955, gained a new function after its recent reconstruction. It has become an A class office building and a modern venue representing interesting architecture in Poznań. The transformation was possible owing to thorough upgrading and a new division of the interior. The doors have been concealed as much as possible to adapt to the interior design. The ALPE steel doors are coated with textured cladding with a wavy pattern corresponding to the finish of the adjacent walls. The stainless steel hinges are concealed and the door leaves aligned with the wall surface. Doors by ASSA ABLOY Mercor Doors have also been used in the unique staircase, which is the showcase of the building, and on the roof.
