CBORD Group, the leading provider of campus card and integrated security solutions to colleges and universities, and ASSA ABLOY, the global leader in door opening solutions are pleased to announce this integration which allows the locks to be fully managed within the CS Access application, improving efficiency and adding functionality to the overall access solution.
By integrating Access 700 PAC or Passport 1000 PG locks with CS Access, college and university administrative staff can manage security system assignments, schedules, alarms, and other key functions for online and offline locks within a single CBORD interface. The integration also gives users a number of new, unique capabilities.
Enhanced functionality includes:
- Integrated card production: When a student receives a new or replacement card, credentials are encoded at that time, eliminating time-consuming additional steps.
- Student self-service: Students with lost cards can receive instant access to their residence hall rooms via the web or their mobile phones with CS Access’ online and mobile-originated capabilities. - Housing access maps: Once a resident is assigned to a room, CS Access generates all access assignments required for both online and offline locks automatically, based on the room assignment. - Intelligent video: By integrating video solutions, administrators can query access events for selected patrons and locations, making it easy to display specific event video with a single click, rather than searching through hours of recorded footage.
Martin Huddart, Vice President of electronic access control for ASSA ABLOY Door Security Solutions, says: “By integrating Corbin Russwin and SARGENT offline campus locks with the enhanced capabilities of CS Access from CBORD, we offer colleges and universities a compelling, convenient solution for campus access control.”
Cindy McCall, Vice President of marketing, CBORD, says: “The integrated system allows the customer to get more value in all aspects of the system operation and lifecycle, from easier installation and configuration to faster and simpler changes and reconfigurations as the system grows with the campus.”
